Mocha's Soldier Savior says:
This is Mocha, a stray puppy we want to rescue in Afghanistan.
She lived near our camp and would come and visit us every day
when we would go out on our patrols. She would even follow us back
to our camp and stick her head and paws under our gate. One day we
were out on patrol and noticed some of the locals beating her with
sticks, that’s when we had enough. We decided that we were going to
take her and send her home to the United States.
We couldn’t bear to see them do that to this puppy that makes
us all feel a little more “at home”. Mocha is a huge part of our
moral here in Afghanistan, so we wanted to return the favor by
giving her a better life. She already has a guaranteed forever home
with one of our soldiers, but we can’t get her there without help
raising the money.
The money will be used to help pay for her veterinary care
and her flight tickets to get back home!

If, for whatever reason, the companion animal rescue is not
successful (such as disease or injury) then at the discretion of
Nowzad Dogs, the funds collected via this Youcaring page will be
allocated to support the vital daily operational costs of the Nowzad
Dogs small animal clinic and shelter in Kabul.
The total required for a companion animal to travel to North
America is on average $5000 for a dog and $2500 for a cat (we make
no profit and everything is subject to currency valuations and fuel
prices on the day). We are sadly unable to offer refunds on donations.
