At trama Textiles, we're preparing for our 2023 Christmas drive, a way of supporting and giving back to the weavers who are the heart of our cooperative. For over 6 years, we have been able to provide annual holiday gift baskets with kitchen essentials to the families of each one of our over 100 weavers. Staff and volunteers travel to each remote community to visit and leave the gifts. Although Trama Textiles has been successful in providing fair wages for its cooperative members, a large proportion of the Indigenous population in the Western Highlands continues to fight extreme poverty, with limited access to healthcare. This project arose not only as an act of appreciation, but with the intention of better responding to our communities' needs. Please support us in keeping this tradition alive and growing!
Your donation to our Christmas Drive will go directly towards buying rice, beans, oil, Incaparina, dried pasta, salt, sugar, and coffee for every family. The aim of these baskets is to supply the weavers with nutritious items that they can use to create meals for themselves and their loved ones. These items are also non-perishable, meaning that their impact can extend far past this holiday season.
