EarthShare North Carolina hasn't added a story.
With your help, we can activate more people in more places.
As EarthShare NC enters our next decade, the call to action is clear. We must be rooted in inclusiveness and equity in how we understand and address environmental needs, and we must act on the most urgent issues facing our planet. To get specific, we need to put even more focus on climate change and its impacts that are disproportionately experienced by communities of color. Giving people throughout North Carolina the tools to know what is needed in their communities, and how to take part, is a powerful step toward a healthier future. Together, we can make this the call to action for thousands more people in our state.
It’s a tall order, sure. But anything is possible if we work as a team.
EarthShare NC is currently limited in our ability to grow. The nonprofits that make up our coalition are primarily in the Raleigh and Charlotte areas. To answer the call to action, we must also reach North Carolinians in underrepresented communities across the state and the nonprofits that serve them. How do we activate people in those communities to take part in local solutions? We go to them. We listen. We decide what it means for our organization to serve more people. As things stand right now, EarthShare NC simply does not have the bandwidth. So here we are, asking you to help our mission and our impact grow.
Over 30 years, we have seen environmental change, #Generation2Generation. We look forward to seeing what comes next!
