The C-60 Lodestar, Goodtime Gal, has been a fixture at the Houston Wing for decades; unfortunately, for much of that time, it has not been airworthy. Houston Wing members have been maintaining the aircraft’s needs, such as replacing the oil, rotating the propellers, cleaning the interior for guests to tour, and making minor repairs. The following are needed to return the aircraft to the sky: an avionics upgrade starting with the transponder and including the new ADSB encoder requirement; two new batteries will be purchased and installed, and both propellers will require a 5-year Airworthiness Directive.

Come spend the day behind the scenes of our operation and meet the pilots, engineers, and educators keeping history alive! This is the perfect gift for any history buff, thrill seeker, or aviation enthusiast in your life! The passenger must be at least 18 years old and less than 250 lbs. Contact for scheduling will be made after our fundraising campaign ends.
