Mitch's Story
Mitch looks totally adoptable. Bright, alert, loving and a ball of energy...until you run his lab work. You see, Mitch has heart worm disease. We are sending out a blood sample to the reference to determine how advanced the disease has gone and to define the type of heart worm. We have our fingers crossed that it is not the resistant type. Mitch needs to get to the fantastic cardiologists at Red Bank Veterinary ASAP. Today we are here to begin his battle for life and hope you will join us in turning things around for this special little boy.
Our Mission for Mitch
Fortunately for Mitch, there are great Cardiologists at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. We need definition, a plan for treatment and hope for Mitch's future. So today, we are turning to the DRBC Gang to help. Sometimes love just won’t do it and today Mitch needs your financial support.
Advanced lab testing, cardiology support and hospitalization all add up to all almost $3,500 bill. Nothing is free to the rescue. The Crisis
Hey Gang the rescue has hit a wall with heart worm disease. 3 dogs in our care need your assistance and need it NOW! The neglect in not giving heart worm medication and the reality of the resistant strain has impacted these dogs and our budget in a sad and measurable way. All 3 dogs [Maggie, Lacey and Mitch] urgently need a trip to the Cardiologist at Red Bank Veterinary, but having just survived a brutal fundraising winter, helping them will require a major assist. We know the DRBC Gang can help; please don't let these special little ones down.

An Important Reminder
All of us here at DRBC want everyone to remember the importance of using heartworm medication. Living in the DRBC Region [NY, NJ, PA, DE and MD] means year round use of protection. 'My doxie rarely goes outside' is a recipe for disaster as infected mosquitoes are more than happy to come in and bite your pupper without your knowledge. Please, please talk to your veterinarian about the importance of prevention. Thanks Gang.
