The Story

Meet Bentley.  Sadly, his life has been one home after another after another after another.  He is so loving, but he was so neglected.  Overweight and under vetted when he finally reached a family that cared fate stepped in and struck him with IVDD [Intervertebral Disc Disease], every doxie owners worst nightmare.  His injury was too much for them and so they turned to DRBC for help.  Sadly we were outside of the surgical window for this little guy, but the battle just takes a different turn as we work to give Bentley a great quality of life.

The Mission

Adding the love this frightened little one needs is easy. Getting him on a balanced diet is simple. Addressing the physical damage and correcting it is the challenge today. Bentley has 4 critical potential disc ruptures along his spinal column. He quivers and pants from pain and anxiety; this needs to be full evaluated. Today we have the opportunity to give him something wonderful….a quality of life. It all begins with outstanding medical care and that all begins with your support.

What do we do now? Clearly we are out of the 72-hour surgery timeframe, but not all hope is lost here. Alternate therapies including laser therapy and acupuncture working in conjunction with our prescribed medical protocol give us hope. Just remember, nothing is free to the rescue and abuse leaves its mark and its cost. Without support from kindhearted people like you Bentley stands no chance of recovery, never mind have a quality or live a pain free life. Please consider him and make a difference today.
