Unsinkable was founded in 2018 by 4-time Olympian, author,
public speaker and Mental Health Advocate Silken Laumann.
Unsinkable offers FOUR programs to support youth and adults:
The heart of our organization is the storytelling program.
Since 2019, we have shared over 200 stories of struggle and
recovery
Another huge part of Unsinkable is the Community Champions
program, which is led by the faces and voices of Unsinkable, and
facilitated by our Manager of Community Support. These advocates
share ideas, insights and support our mission!
We’re also proud to have the Youth Council, which is a youth
led program composed of two groups (ages 12-14 & 15-23) that
meet once a month virtually & collaborates regularly on
projects to impact the Unsinkable Youth community!
Lastly, we have our Digital Portfolio (aka our social) where
we bring mental health tools & support to the community at
large. We connect people to inspiring content, clinical based
resources & strategies.
