Today, on our 32nd anniversary, we launch our Advanced Fanzine Subscription campaign for the 2019/20 season.

Last year, for 2018/19, we set a target of 254 and an incredible 389 Manchester United fans stepped forward during pre-season to support YOUR fanzine.

We hope you liked and enjoyed the mag you received if you were one.

The reason we do this - we're just a normal fanzine without any big business behind us - is to ensure we continue. Founded in 1987, bound by print, but now also available by pdf and in digital format as well, with the whole point of this campaign so that the fanzine can survive and flourish for its next season ahead without fear. It's vital we can plan ahead without worrying month by month.

With sales at the ground affected by weather and a change in culture, 'is that the programme, no!', we are an independent unofficial Manchester United supporters' fanzine which no longer can survive on just selling at matches, and we have to adapt to that change.

The advanced subscriptions protect us, which sees you the readers receive the fanzine for the following season, all 10 editions from August-May, and ensures the survival of Red News for another year.

This campaign runs during the months and days leading up to the next season.

Our role is simple, in 2019/20 and beyond, just as it was in 1987 when we first started; to give normal Manchester United fans a voice. To be heard. To provoke, prod and keep the suits, and those at MUFC, accountable so they can't just ignore us. To fight for a better Manchester United that is worthy of this great club of ours. And, of course, to have a laugh.

We're different. You might agree, or disagree with some of the content. That's healthy. It's not just one view, telling you what to do, but a mix of different voices offering their own thoughts.

You are supporting us and in return you get the fanzine, a different read, in return. There is something in return for your actions here.

Your support is appreciated, and invaluable. If you can help, please do.

During 2018/19 we interviewed Gary Neville for a honest talk, amongst many others who talked to us openly without edits or copy approval, as we reflected on Jose's departure and Ole's arrival and also tried to have a laugh and point out what is great about supporting this ever changing club of ours whilst prodding the aspects that might not be.

This year we are setting our summer advanced fanzine subscription target at 264 (for the fanzine edition RN264 published in August 2019). We hope we can get close to it.

If you are a current subscriber in Print or PDF format and re-sub we will add the sub you take out onto your sub when it runs out at the end of this season, and if you are a new subscriber we will start from the August 2019 fanzine.

We can answer any questions you have at feedback@rednews.co.uk

100% independent, 100% unofficial.

You will be giving invaluable support to our fanzine, and in return gaining a unique, unofficial, irreverent read each month which doesn't try to take itself too seriously. It is adult content.

Every single one of you who supports is helping to make a difference. You will be making a vital difference to the fanzine.

Support us in our quest for 264 subscribers before RedNews264 in August 2019 at https://fundrazr.com/rednewsfanzine2019XXXX

And that it all.

Thank you

Cheers, Barney, RedNews
