Since 2008, Lift the Children (LTC) has been seeking out some of East Africa's most vulnerable children living in Charitable Children's Institutions (orphanages). LTC currently supports over 2000 Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in 50+ Children's Institutions (CCIs) in Kenya, Uganda, and Liberia. This support includes financial support of $15 per child per month to cater for basic necessities of food, housing and education.
We also provide training to the management of the children’s institutions on reintegration, case management and other areas to enhance the quality of care for the children. We uphold the United Nations Rights of a Child in all that we do. A major goal of LTC is to reunite the children we serve with their biological parents, extended families, or foster care.
