I'm SSG Daniel Brissey, I'm currently serving my 5th tour overseas, 3rd trip to Afghanistan.
I've always been an animal lover so I was pretty excited to see that there was quite the cat population on our camp where we are supporting construction operations.
I came upon Sully one day on my way back from getting fuel.
She was sunning herself in the crook of a T-wall and I immediately recognized her as one in a litter of four kittens.
None of these kittens had ever allowed me to be close enough to pet them, they would just run away but Sully warmed right up to me and even let me pick her up!
I'm actually allergic to cats but shes so darn cute i couldn't help myself.
From that day we became the best of friends and I always look forward to seeing her on my lunch break. It makes the deployment days a little better when you have a furry little buddy to spend some time with.
I want to adopt Sully and give her the forever home she needs but I need some help!

If, for whatever reason, the companion animal rescue is not successful (such as disease or injury) then at the discretion of Nowzad Dogs, the funds collected via this Youcaring page will be allocated to support the vital daily operational costs of the Nowzad Dogs small animal clinic and shelter in Kabul.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
The total required for a companion animal to travel to North America is on average $5000 for a dog and $3000 for a cat (we make no profit and everything is subject to currency valuations and fuel prices on the day). We are sadly unable to offer refunds on donations.
