Local Partners Build Homes

World Housing works with local building partners who have in-depth knowledge of the community and years of proven impact in the region. In Colombia, World Housing is proud to partner with TECHO, a youth led non-profit organization present in Latin America & the Caribbean. Through the collaborative work of families living in extreme poverty with youth volunteersTECHO seeks to overcome poverty in slums. Thanks to NexGen Forward's support, together we have already built 15 homes -view the community on Google Maps and meet the families that were helped through the NexGen Forward Giving Group.

Ciudad Bolivar Slum

In the southern district of Bogotá  known as Ciudad Bolivar, families have gathered to escape the violence in their rural hometowns.  The consequences of the intense migration are evident;  Ciudad Bolivar contains the most displaced people in the city – as well as the highest density of poverty.

Ciudad Bolivar covers nearly 13,000 hectares, holds 9% of Bogotá’s population (700,000 people) and is made up of 38 informal settlements  intertwined together along the hillside mountains of the city limits.

100% Promise

We aren't like other charities, when you give to World Housing 100% of your donation goes to the families in need.
