Empowering Rural Adults and Youth in Zambia through Skills Training
Impact Zambia partners with local leaders to serve some of the most underserved communities in southwestern Zambia. Working through New Life Tabernacle and its 20+ branch churches, we’ve been investing in skills & leadership training since 2012 to help break the cycle of poverty.
With support from Canadian and South African churches, Rotary International, and International Teams Canada, we’ve embarked on the most ambitious project yet - a multi-purpose vocational training centre - Life Impact Training Centre - close to Itezhi-tezhi.
With your support, we can open the doors sooner and equip young people with the tools to build a better future—for themselves and their communities.
Background
Life Impact Training Centre grew up out of the Share Your Knowledge project, which provided sewing and business training to women in their villages in partnership with Rotary International. The need for skills and leadership development, resulted in the construction of this multi-purpose training centre, which hopes to offer fulltime registered training in employable skills identified by the community, such as like sewing, agriculture, carpentry, bricklaying, and informally in leadership and counseling skills.
