Truth matters, it does exist, and we can find it.
Please partner with us to share news-literacy education in Arizona through a 50-minute workshop that's hosted at schools, libraries and community centers. These days, it's trickier than ever to know what's true. BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION.
Through news literacy, we can be more resilient against disinformation and propaganda.
The News Literacy for Arizona workshop is free, nonpartisan, and designed for attendees age 13 and older. Our five-point training focuses on:
- The importance of news literacy
- The danger of disinformation
- The power of algorithms on the information we consume
- The difference between journalism and propaganda
- How to build a diverse news diet
Our workshops are taught by seasoned educators and our advisory board members have diverse experience ranging from state-level library leadership to award-winning journalism, and expertise in nonprofit management and education. News Literacy for Arizona began in 2025 and has received glowing praise from community hosts.

To keep these workshops free to attendees throughout Arizona, we ask that you partner with us. By sponsoring a workshop in your community or elsewhere in Arizona, together we can deliver lifelong tools to discern fiction from fact.
Each workshop reaches an average of 30 attendees for a sponsorship price of $325 – that’s only about $11 per person to share the gift of lifelong news-literacy skills!
All donations are tax-deductible and help us expand programming. We do accept major gifts, which are especially important with so few grants being available in this space. Click here for options of how to make a major gift.
Please spread the word by sharing this campaign with friends, family and associates. THANK YOU!
