Welcome to the 8th annual Run for Romania! WE ARE BACK IN-PERSON!
Join us in Etobicoke on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 10am to run or walk in support of Impact Romania.
Please join us to run, walk or cheer on participants in person, or arrange your own run/walk in your community.

Important event info
Date: May 2, 2026 at 10AM for those who are able to participate that day in-person. Please arrive by 9:45am to sign in.
If you are not able to join us in person, please feel free to organize a run/walk in your community on May 2 or anytime that week.
Cost: Once you have signed up, you can donate the amount of your choice directly through your fundraising page.
Please share the opportunity to contribute towards the fundraising for your run/walk with your loved ones and network.
Tax receipts will be issued for all donations.
Location : West Deane Park (Central Etobicoke)
Distance: 5km run or walk. You can choose a shorter distance if you wish.

Running for vulnerable Romanian orphans and adults
We have been privileged to support the building of a new "multi-purpose facility" at Pas Cu Pas' Family over the last few years. With your help, we are over 50% of our multi-year fundraising goal of $300,00 to create a new safe, wheel-chair accessible and inclusive space for workshops, training, team building, family-style activities and events for hundreds of Romanian orphans, children and adults with exceptionalities each year.

2024 - Plans were completed and the old Barn was demolished to make way for the new facility:

Pictured below are the very first ministry opportunities for the "multi-purpose facility" at the Family Farm. We are far from completing the indoor and outdoor projects that will make this facility fully functional. For example, lighting, ventilation, a small indoor kitchen, outdoor kitchen, green houses, and much more! Pictured below are some special needs teens who are helping with some cleaning. The second picture are some special needs children with some church volunteers who come each Saturday.

Why does building this Multi-Purpose Facility matter?
The harsh reality in Romania is that individuals with special needs are the last people to receive needed help and support from the community and government. As a result, Impact Romania has increased their involvement with this special demographic in recent years. They have hosted a number of these special groups at the farm, and with the building of this new multi-purpose facility can host many more regularly. This new facility will enable Impact Romania t o reach more vulnerable individuals and show them God's love. The other side benefit is for the (over 100) volunteers who come to help out and receive training in working with orphans, and vulnerable children & adults!
For those of you that are new here, Impact Romania is a remarkable Christian ministry that started in 2005. It is a partnership between the Canadian charity, International Teams of Canada, and the Romanian orphan foundation, “Pas cu Pas” (meaning “Step By Step”).

On Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, (at 10am), we are hosting our "in-person" Run For Romania at West Deane Park in Etobicoke. Please plan to arrive around 9:30am to park your car and check in!
Event Info:
For those doing the run or walk on their own a virtual warm up will be available online.
PLEASE take pictures or videos of yourself participating in your run, walk or workout.
Do a light cool down, do some stretches and drink some water. You will deserve it!
