WHAT was this 'Dance-a-thon Event'?SOUL FUEL and its community, local business sponsors, family and friends, collectively turned movement into money by dancing the day away on Saturday November 22! Over 6 weeks we raised $25,000, which was matched by TD Bank Group for a total of $50,000. HUGE THANKS to everyone who contributed, volunteered, participated and believed in the event and its cause: St.Joe's. We are truly overwhelmed and grateful. MJ + Team xo --------- SOUL FUEL welcomes anyone who loves to move to music and contribute to a good cause! This festive fundraising event will be led by some of the city’s best dance fitness instructors and each ‘Dance-a-thon Class’ will feature popular songs and dance moves from the 1970s to 2020s. Dances are easy-to-follow endorphin-boosting bites for folks of all ages and stages! NO DANCE SKILL NEEDED. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. There are four Dance-a-thon classes to choose from, including a Family Hour for kids 5 to 12 years old, followed by four more adult classes. Participants can take as many classes as they like over the afternoon (listed below), there is a suggested minimum of $50 to participate ($20 for kids), but donate whatever you can! In addition to the classes, there will be prize draws, snacks and beverages, outdoor cooling area with fire pit, costume tickle trunk, face painting and animal balloons, gift bags and more! |

WHERE are the dancing dollars going?
To St.Joe's, our local community hospital.ALL funds raised will be donated and matched by TD up to $25,000. Funds will go to the area of most need. This could be the Just for Kids Clinic, Emergency Department, Mental Health & Addictions, Obstetrics & Women's Health, Clinic for Healthy Aging and more. St. Joseph's Health Centre Toronto is where we birth our children, seek care in health crises, and entrust the lives of our loved ones. At this challenging time in our health care system, local hospitals need our support more than ever, so let’s galvanize and gather to DANCE FOR ST. JOE’S. SOUL FUEL is a small local woman-owned Fitness Studio at Bloor and Dundas West. We offer a wide variety of group classes, personal training and wellness events. We welcome you As You Are to Move Into Your Power. We believe that your health is not only about self-care, but also about collective care, which includes community initiatives like this one.
