We are the University of North Dakota Club Baseball. We are currently in the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) Division 2 and we have proved to be a big competitor. We strive to offer another chance for people to compete in a very competitive league. With UND getting rid of their baseball team years ago, we are what stands for the great sport! We have some big plans to make sure that our athletes can compete at a higher level by traveling to places like Panama City Beach, Florida so that we can partake in the Swing Into Spring baseball event that the NCBA puts on for people to get a little spring training before the regular season begins again.
We have proven to be a successful team in the NCBA when we played the 2020-2021 season in Division 1, we finished our regular season on top of our conference and earned the #1 seed at the region tournament. We played a very tough Iowa State team two times and we ended up beating them in the regional championship to earn a spot in the NCBA Division 1 World Series! We drew a very tough #5 Oregon team right away and we ended up beating them in the first round of the World Series. There was a lot of growing that came from the trip to Pittsburg, Kansas and we continued to grow as we went into the 2021-2022 season.
As a team we are currently 14-2 in NCBA sanctioned games and 19-5-2 in all games. We are currently ranked #3 in the nation for NCBA Division 2. With that being said, we have been gearing up and practicing inside to make sure we are ready to show them that the Midwest knows how to play baseball!
Your donations will help with some of our travel expenses to not only our long distance games, but also our conference games that we must drive to and get hotels to stay overnight. Another thing that is very important to us is our equipment, we would love to have have equipment that fulfills our needs to the fullest. During the winter months we are forced to practice inside, but we must pay for our space that we have. During our season we rent out Kraft Field in Grand Forks, we also pay for the umps that we hire. This is because we are not allowed to actually receive funding from the university itself. We cannot make all of this possible without our supporters though and we are very grateful for everyone that supports us as a team! We are not asking for much, anything that you are willing to donate to us is greatly appreciated and will take our team to new levels!
