The Story

This weekend tragedy struck little Willi...all of you that follow us on social media know that Willi is one of our very beloved diabetics.  He developed sudden onset glaucoma and the right eye has erupted causing him great pain and discomfort.  The eye must be removed to end the suffering this condition has created. 

So what are his realistic chances for a positive outcome and a great life?  Willi came to us a few years back.  He was massively overweight and had diabetes that was out of control, but situations like this are common and manageable here at DRBC...that is until this incident.  Over time this guy has lost the weight, gotten his diabetes under control and has become a real lover.  While he will lose his eye, his life will return to normal quickly.  Best of all his pain will end.

Medically, the only hope is surgery.  Let's help Willi get back to the loving little boy we all know him to be.  Working together we have great hope for Willi!

The Mission

OK, we all know the problem.  Now it is time to take action and get Willi the help he needs...ASAP!  

Willi has already had a visit with the surgeon.  Now it is time to get him the help he needs to become pain free.  You may be asking what all this entails.  Check it out:

• Pre-operative labs - $375
• Surgery and hospitalization: $6000
• Medications - $125

It adds up quickly, but for a successful surgery and recovery, it is needed. Today we ask that you help Willi and make a difference in his life. Hey, we turned the background on the page red for a reason...this one is *URGENT*.
