Beaverton High School, Pauline Lee hasn't added a story.
Hi, I am a special education teacher at Beaverton High School. We are a classroom of students that love to learn and laugh. We have fun, we learn from each other and we care deeply about one another. The number of students in the classroom will change each year so we are seeking a large class set of books. I am hoping to read some of my favorites when I was younger. The books like "Where the Red Fern Grows." or "Indian in the Cupboard." We are also looking for books such as "Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing." "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." And finally "Mouse and the Motorcycle." All of these books tackle issues such as friendship, death, family dynamics, societal rules, poverty, and many more complex issues that our kids need to be exposed to. These books transported me and my friends when we were younger to places that we wouldn't be able to otherwise visit. We cheered with triumphs and cried when appropriate. I think my students would love these books as well.
I am hoping to get at least a class set of each book. 15 books so that we will have enough as our classroom grows. I ask that you please give what you can to our cause. I also ask that you share this campaign. I hope that you will help me get these amazing books! I thank you in advance for any contribution that you can give.
$158 will go to order 15 hard copies for "Where the Red Fern Grows."
$72 will go to order 15 paperback copies for "Indian in the Cupboard."
$75 will go to order 15 paperback copies for "Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing."
$82 will go to order 15 paperback copies for "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory."
$174 will go to order 15 hard copies for "Mouse and the Motorcycle."
Thank you!
