Why is it so hard to talk about mental health in the church? Where can people turn for spiritual support while they're struggling? And what about clergy who are struggling?
I am a huge fan of Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries. I've gone through both their Protestant and Catholic courses, and I'm so impressed by both. They are helping churches offer better support for members and leaders who are dealing with mental health challenges.
I will be dancing and cycling for 7 days as part of their Move for Mental Health fundraiser. Would you sponsor me? Big or small, all donations are being matched by an anonymous donor.

One in five people experience mental health challenges worldwide, so mental health is important for all of us. We’re all impacted—whether we know someone who lives with mental health challenges, or we may face challenges of our own. By supporting this campaign, you'll help raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. And by engaging in physical activity, you may improve your own wellbeing!
With this fundraiser, Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries aims to continue equipping the Church to support mental health and wellbeing. Our resources prepare communities of faith to offer much-needed support to those experiencing mental health challenges. One of our resources, The Sanctuary Course had reached an estimated 64,575 course users from forty-six countries by the end of 2020. With your financial support, you'll enable Sanctuary to continue to produce quality resources to help people around the world. We have some exciting new projects in the works such as resources for youth and community development. But we need your help!

Log your minutes throughout the week and report them to your team captain. Captains will then post their team's minutes daily in the comments on this page.
