Hello everyone! We are a Club Baseball program at the University of Utah. It is our program's third year, and we are building a community of brothers and athletes. Every year the club has grown and improved, especially with our performance on the field. Our first year we finished 3-12, and our second year we jumped to 11-7. Highlights from last year include a 10-run 7th inning comeback, a 3-0 weekend in Las Vegas, 6 players receiving All-Region honors, and 1 player receiving All-American honors! We look to continue this trend this upcoming season.
We are a member of the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) that competes in the Northern Pacific - East Conference. In the first two years of the program, all of our funding came from players' dues, which has financially limited our opportunities as a club. With extra funding, this would help support facility rentals for practices and games at nicer facilities with more convenient times and locations. This would increase player attendance and improved player development during practices. Your support would also contribute to hotels for our games in Las Vegas, NV and Bozeman, MT, as well as gas reimbursements to our players for all road games. We would also to be able to cover the necessary costs for home and away non-conference games, allowing us to add more games to the schedule. Furthermore, due to current financial constraints, we would be unable to afford the necessary funding needed for potential postseason play. Extra funding would allow us to compete in the Northern Pacific Regional Tournament and ultimately the NCBA World Series. More funding would also allow the team to acquire more equipment and uniforms, which we currently have been reusing for all three years. Your funding would also support organized events off the field that the bring the team together.
This all would contribute to an improved team experience and put less financial stress on the individual players for future seasons. We are a new program that is growing every year and hope that you can contribute to our goals of building a community that fosters the development of student-athletes and well-rounded men.
