At Mercaz Academy—the only Orthodox Jewish day school serving eastern Nassau and Suffolk County—we educate for today and tomorrow.   

Mercaz Academy plays an irreplaceable role for parents in the 18 communities that we serve.  We provide not just Jewish community for families from all walks of Jewish life, but Jewish continuity:  About 30 percent of children in the grades at Mercaz Academy are from families who began their children’s education in public school.  Our families count on us for their children’s Jewish education, and we count on you.

We turn to you for partnership this Chanukah. Our students, toddlers through 6th grade, are learning about the complexities of the world we are living in while balancing the challenges of a dual curriculum of secular and Judaic studies.  Their parents have turned to us to help guide their children educationally while nurturing and protecting them physically, socially, and emotionally.  

Your contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of all donations to this Chanukah appeal.  This year all funds raised are dedicated to help families who desire the private education we provide but cannot afford the full tuition for their children.  In these situations, Mercaz on a confidential basis, provides financial assistance to those in need.  

Providing financial assistance when warranted is a fundamental tenet of our culture and mission at Mercaz.  Please ensure that all Jewish families across central Long Island can partner with Mercaz so we may foster in these children a deep-seated Jewish pride that will ensure that the coming generations will stand up for our Jewish heritage and fellow Jews worldwide.
