Ninja arrived at our clinic on a cold winter’s day - terrified, badly injured, and fighting to survive. A compassionate Afghan woman had found him struggling on the street, his front leg severely damaged, most likely from a road traffic accident. Our veterinary team examined him and knew his leg could not be saved. To end his pain and give him a chance at life, they performed an amputation.

From that moment, Ninja became part of our shelter family.

He healed beautifully, though those early months were difficult. He was nervous around some dogs and unsure of the world. But even then, he showed a gentle, hopeful nature, a sweetness that has stolen our Kabul teams hearts.

Over the past two years, Ninja has transformed. He has become a loving, friendly, playful boy who greets us every morning with a wagging tail and a bright smile. He knows his routine perfectly, listens to every command, and simply wants to please. He has blossomed into a dog who trusts, who connects, and who is ready for a life beyond the shelter.

And now, he finally has that chance…..

Ninja has been offered the perfect home, a peaceful countryside life with a wonderful dog sister who is longing for a playmate. Ninja loves other dogs, loves to play, and thrives on companionship, making this match truly special. His future will be filled with quiet village walks, a beautiful garden to explore, and twice weekly visits to a local dog park where he can meet new friends and enjoy the fun and adventures for which he has waited so long. And best of all? A warm bed of his own, a future of hope and safety and most importantly — a loving family of his own. We could not be happier for him.

But before Ninja can begin this new chapter, he still needs help with his travel costs to his new life. Times are challenging for everyone, and we understand that deeply.
