Lift the Children's core purpose is to support Orphaned and Vulnerable Children living in Children's Institutions (commonly called orphanages) in Africa. We support them with the basic necessities while working to reintegrate them into family and community-based care.
At the beginning of the year we started fundraising to reach the 425 additional orphaned and vulnerable children in 12 Children's Institutions in Kenya who were on our waitlist for funding. We are so close to reaching that goal and have 67 children left to fund!
For just $10, you can help us provide shelter, food, and education to one of those children for an entire month!

Lift the Children currently supports 2,293 Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in 53 Children's Institutions in Kenya, Uganda, and Liberia. This support includes financial support of $10 per child per month to cater for basic necessities of food, housing, and education. We also provide training to the management of the children’s institutions on reintegration, case management, and other areas to enhance the quality of care for the children. A major goal of LTC is to reunite the children we serve with their biological parents and extended families or place them in alternative family care like foster care.
