This Christmas, honour Christ's birth by blessing children living and/or working on the streets in Jinja, Uganda.
On
the day of Jesus' birth, he was without a place to stay. Today,
thousands of children in Uganda have nowhere to lay their head at night.
Every year our partner Jinja Connection hosts a Christmas celebration for all the children that have nowhere else to go. The day is a highlight for the children, full of fun, games, and both breakfast and a special Christmas meal of much-desired chicken and beef with rice. This celebration is an additional cost on top of the regular costs of staffing and running Jinja Connection's drop-in centre and services. Would you give the gift of Christmas to kids in need?
About Jinja Connection
Jinja Connection is a Rehabilitation Centre that serves street-connected (living and/or working on the street) children in Jinja, Uganda. It offers drop-in day programming including school-level classes, counselling, opportunities for the children to wash themselves and their clothes, and access any other essential care they may need. Social workers work with the children towards resettlement back home and back to school with safe family members.

WHO WE HELP
Impact Uganda feeds, teaches, and reunites children living on the street with their families, and engages in community development initiatives which provide education, clean water, food relief and elder care to those in need.
WHAT WE DO
iTeams Canada partners with Jinja Connection to provide quality education, medical care, and counselling to street-connected children with the goal of bringing them back in relationship with their families and relatives. We also partner with Embrace Uganda, to provide holistic development and education to vulnerable individuals in Kitigoma through their work with God’s Gift School and Kitigoma Community Church.
