A doxie's darkest day is when they go down in the back, and the only thing that can make it worse is when that happens and a doxie finds himself not in the arms of the family who loves him being held and soft hearing his name and being told everything will be ok, but abandoned in a cold crate at a shelter now know only as A1230827, while the shelter staff do the one thing that they know that can give him his only chance....

DRSF received that call and even though we have many IVDD dogs we need to place, when Intake Team Member Laura heard him crying in the background she couldn't turn her back, the boar rallied, texts and e-mails were sent, a vote was taken, and we are brining him in.

Laura left work to get to the shelter to get him, and Dr. Anwer at Southeast Veterinary Neurology is on standby waiting for him to arrive.  In case his story is not sad enough, he is also suffering form heartworm which will add another $500 to the cost of his care.

We have not fully funded Tania's surgery yet, and have 4 IVDD dogs we have not been able to find forever families for, but we could not turn our back on him.  Once again, we turn to you, our DRSF family who give us the fuel to make doxie dreams come true.  Will you help us help A1230827 who has lost his family, and his legs all in the same day?
