"It was when I visited Pakistan in 2019 for a family wedding that I witnessed true poverty. While passing through a slum area in Karachi on the way to the event, I saw the heart-breaking conditions people were living in. I remember calling my Dad that night and just sobbing uncontrollably. Since then, I have not been able to forget this image and I am struck by how fortunate we are in comparison. This year I'd like to do something to help, so I am dedicating my birthday celebration to help raise funds to gift a home to a family in need."
