The Coyote Squadron T-34B has served as a valuable resource for the squadron during its nine years stationed at C. David Campbell Field in Corsicana. The aircraft has been presented to the public as an example of Navy training aviation at numerous air shows and fly-ins across the state. Furthermore, the squadron has participated in many flyovers for festivals, Veterans and Memorial Day observances, and veteran funerals. These services have consistently been provided without solicitation of compensation, as they reflect the squadron’s sense of duty and respect for the community and its veterans.

Over time, replacing outdated equipment becomes essential due to wear or the lack of manufacturer support. This year, we have determined that our sole navigation and communication device—the Garmin GNS 430—requires replacement, as it is no longer eligible for software updates, with the most recent update dating back to 2019.  With your assistance during a previous 12 Planes of Christmas fundraiser, we were able to send the unit for repair after simple failure of the "Enter" key rendered it inoperable. Fortunately, prompt repairs allowed us to restore the equipment to service efficiently.  

Due to the lack of factory support, we have secured a replacement and plan to install it at the start of the year. We are seeking your help with covering the installation costs for our new GNS-650 unit. This upgrade will finally allow us to safely operate with up-to-date airfield information, something we haven’t had in years. Since installation expenses will exceed the cost of the unit itself, our fundraising goal for this year is set at $15,000. We sincerely hope you’ll consider supporting us in this important effort.
