The Social Economic Development Association  (SEDA) "Pull me up" Program operates in Vihiga County, Kenya.

SEDA is a collective of 115 widows and vulnerable women who support each other and ensure that each of them and their families are loved, cared for, and have the finances to thrive. The past few years have been very difficult, but this resilient group of women has continued to search for ways they can support each other. 

The SEDA women have come together and built a sustainable business plan that will ensure they are receiving the income needed for them to flourish and help transform the community together. They are patnering with Shangilia Ministries in Kenya in Vihiga County to fundraise together a Chicken Business. For every Shilling that SEDA Ministries raises Shangilia Ministries will match this 2 times. This means that raising 500,000 KES the SEDA women will be able to build a facility where they can grow over 1000 chickens every 6 weeks and sell them to a company. Ezinas a widow involved with SEDA, shared "With the Chicken Business that we would love to start, l will be able to afford basic needs for my family and our lives will be transfomed completely and never be the same again". These women have picked this project together and even found a matching patner for this project. They are ready for this! The women have the land, the water and the people to make sure this business is successful. But, they need your help in getting 500,000KES so they can secure the match to make this dream project a reality!
