VIATEC Food Bank Challenge, in support of The
Mustardseed Foundation!
Hunger and food insecurity affect far too many people in our
community year round, and this holiday season we want to help support
our community members facing these challenges.
As part of our campaign, we will be doing a Decembrrrr Challenge!
For every $20 donated to our campaign, one of our brave
team members will be making the plunge! A polar bear plunge to be
exact. In the ocean. In December... you heard it here, folks!
We'll be sure to video record each plunge, including special
shoutouts to every donor contributing $20 or more!
Annnnd that's not all! The donor with the largest contribution
to our campaign will win a prize consisting of a framed photo print from
and a $25 gift card for
Swan's Pub
!

We've accepted the 19th annual VIATEC Foundation Food Bank Challenge! Our company is joining forces in an effort to raise as many funds for the Mustard Seed Food Bank as possible. This is the perfect opportunity to give back to our community... A community that needs our support more than ever.
Since its inception in 2002, $2,396,043.72 worth of food and cash has been donated to the Mustard Seed through companies participating in the VIATEC Foundation Food Bank Challenge.

HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS:
There are 50,000 “hidden hungry” or food insecure individuals in
Greater Victoria and your donation will help to continue to provide
them the most important pillar… food. Food not only nourishes the
body, but it provides a sense of stability, of sharing with
community or family, and a moment of rest, and warmth, amidst the
chaos of life. This is more important than ever, especially during
COVID-19 when some may be out of work, sick or overwhelmed.
ABOUT THE MUSTARD SEED:
The Mustard Seed has been essential in fighting hunger and restoring faith to a large portion of people living in poverty, as well as the working poor, in Greater Victoria since 1975. The Mustard Seed’s operations are nearly 100 percent community funded and include Vancouver Island’s largest Food Bank, a Family Center, Hospitality programs, addictions recovery at Hope Farm Healing Centre and more.
