Raigame es un espacio de aprendizaje en la naturaleza que nace para preservar y dar continuidad a los saberes y prácticas tradicionales de la Asturias rural.
Tenemos nuestro hogar en un prado orientado al sur protegido por la sierra del Sueve, con agua de manantial, en un entorno de bosque centenario y biodiversidad. En este rincón mágico estamos creando un espacio único donde sumergirse en la naturaleza asturiana y descubrir la cultura local.

Raigame is a learning sanctuary in nature dedicated to preserving and carrying forward the traditional knowledge and practices of rural Asturias.
Our home sits in a south-facing meadow sheltered by the Sueve mountains, blessed with spring water and surrounded by ancient forest and biodiversity. In this enchanted corner, we're creating a unique sanctuary where you can immerse yourself in Asturian nature and discover local culture.

En la Asturias rural vivimos rodeados de hórreos centenarios, y muchos abuelos aún recuerdan los oficios y saberes ancestrales. El patrimonio cultural que pervive aquí es extraordinario. Raigame nace para proteger este legado y para que niños y adultos lo puedan conocer y disfrutar.

In rural Asturias, we live among centuries-old hórreos (traditional raised granaries), and many grandparents still know ancient crafts and wisdom. The cultural heritage that endures here is extraordinary. Raigame was born to protect this legacy and ensure both children and adults can discover and cherish it.

¿QUÉ OFRECEMOS?
Nuestro programa evoluciona con las estaciones y ofrece diferentes experiencias a lo largo del año. Durante el período escolar ofrecemos talleres intensivos en los fines de semana, y talleres extraescolares en las tardes de diario. En verano organizamos cursos de trabajo y campamentos en familia. Además, durante todo el año ofrecemos un aula abierta y un programa de charlas y encuentros.
Nuestro espacio de trabajo contará con áreas dedicadas a cada oficio, equipadas con herramientas especializadas. El trabajo está guiado por artesanos profesionales y por paisanos de la zona que conocen a fondo el oficio y los materiales.
❥ WHAT DO WE OFFER?
Our program evolves with the seasons and offers different experiences throughout the year. During the school term, we host intensive weekend workshops alongside weekday after-school sessions. Summer brings intensive work courses and family camps. Year-round, we offer an open working space, talks, and gatherings.
Our workspace will feature dedicated areas for each craft, equipped with specialized tools. The work is guided by professional artisans and local masters who possess deep knowledge of their trades and materials.

TALLERES EN RAIGAME
Nuestros talleres abordan cada oficio y tarea de principio a fin. Por ejemplo, para trabajar la lana empezamos esquilando las ovejas, y la arcilla para el torno la recogemos del suelo de nuestro propio prado. Luego, durante el trabajo de taller, te guiamos desde la materia prima hasta la pieza terminada. Un proceso completo que permite conectar de verdad con cada material, su naturaleza y su potencial particular.
Los talleres tienen lugar de septiembre a junio, en dos horarios diferentes. En las tardes de entre semana se imparten talleres extraescolares, y en los fines de semana organizamos talleres intensivos.
Diseñamos nuestros talleres para todas las edades, para que las familias puedan aprender juntas los oficios tradicionales. Los niños experimentan la magia de trabajar con las manos mientras los adultos se reconectan con la satisfacción de crear desde cero. También damos la bienvenida a adultos que vienen solos a aprender los oficios.
❥ WORKSHOPS AT RAIGAME
Our workshops take you through the complete journey of each craft. We shear the wool ourselves, and dig the clay for pottery from our own meadow. Throughout each workshop, we guide you from raw material to finished piece. This hands-on approach creates a genuine connection with every material and unlocks its unique possibilities.
Workshops run from September through June on two different schedules. Weekday afternoons are dedicated to after-school programs, while weekends feature intensive workshops.
Our workshops welcome all ages, bringing families together to learn traditional crafts. Children experience the magic of working with their hands, while adults reconnect with the satisfaction of creating from scratch. Adults coming on their own to learn the crafts are also welcome.

Durante el verano organizamos cursos de trabajo de construcción tradicional, bioconstrucción, huerto orgánico, bosque comestible, sistemas de depuración orgánica del agua, y diferentes prácticas tradicionales.
Los cursos están dirigidos a personas de España y de todo el mundo que desean pasar unos días en la maravillosa naturaleza asturiana participando activamente en la construcción de un proyecto que les inspira.

During the summer we organize work courses in traditional masonry, natural building, organic gardening, food forestry, organic water treatment, and various traditional practices.
Our courses welcome people from Spain and around the world who want to spend time immersed in the stunning Asturias nature while actively contributing to a project that inspires them.
CAMPAMENTO EN FAMILIA
Raigame organiza campamentos de verano para familias con niños que desean disfrutar y aprender juntos. Ofrecemos una experiencia inmersiva en un espacio de biodiversidad donde conectar de forma auténtica con la naturaleza y la vida en el campo. A partir de 4 años.
Padres e hijos participan juntos en talleres sobre oficios y saberes locales, llevan a cabo trabajos de huerto y bosque comestible, conviven con animales en semilibertad y exploran el ecosistema acuático de nuestro estanque.
❥ SUMMER FAMILY CAMP
Our summer family camps bring together families for shared adventures in learning and discovery. Families immerse themselves in our thriving natural landscape, forging authentic connections with nature and rural mountain life. Ages 4 and up.
Parents and children work side by side in workshops on local crafts and lore, tend vegetable gardens and food forests, live alongside free-roaming animals, and explore the aquatic ecosystem of our pond.

CAMINO DE ACCESO | Nuestro primer paso será acondicionar el camino de acceso al prado de Raigame. Esto nos permitirá transportar todos los materiales y herramientas necesarios para construir el aula. | NAVE DE ALMACENAJE AGRÍCOLA | La primera construcción en Raigame es un espacio de almacenaje para el cuidado de nuestro prado, bosque, senderos, huerta y árboles frutales. Esta sencilla estructura octogonal sobre plataforma de madera de 40 m² será nuestro primer refugio cubierto. Construida en madera y acabada con barro, paja y cal, será un ejemplo vivo de construcción sostenible que se integra con respeto en el paisaje asturiano. | INVERNADERO GEODÉSICO | Nuestro invernadero tendrá forma de domo geodésico de 6m de diámetro con estructura de madera. La base del domo es un muro circular de piedra seca. Estamos levantando el muro junto al artista Matthew William Scott, que dirigió recientemente el primer curso de trabajo en Raigame. El invernadero nos permitirá proteger los semilleros y planteles antes de la llegada del buen tiempo. | CASA de APEROS | Esta caseta de madera de 8 m² servirá para guardar los materiales y herramientas de construcción. Un espacio imprescindible durante el proceso de construcción de las infraestructuras de Raigame. | DISEÑO y PERMISOS | Entre nuestros gastos iniciales están los honorarios de Alfonso, nuestro arquitecto local —que ha preparado el proyecto técnico— y los permisos municipales correspondientes. |

ACCESS PATH | Our first task will be improving the access path to Raigame's meadow. This will allow us to bring in all the materials and tools for building our learning spaces. | FARM STORAGE BARN | The first building at Raigame is a storage space for tending our meadow, forest, pathways, vegetable garden, and fruit trees. This simple octagonal shelter on a 40m² wooden platform will give us our first covered workspace. Crafted from wood and finished with clay, straw, and lime, it showcases our commitment to sustainable building that harmonizes with the Asturian countryside. | GEODESIC GREENHOUSE | Our greenhouse will be a 6m diameter geodesic dome with a timber structure. The dome sits on a circular dry stone wall. We’re building this wall together with artist Matthew William Scott, who recently led the first workshop on Raigame’s meadow. The greenhouse will shelter our seedlings and young plants before the outdoor growing season starts. | FARM OUTBUILDING | This 8m² wooden shed will house all our building materials and tools—essential while we construct Raigame's infrastructure. | ARCHITECT & PERMITS | Our startup costs include paying Alfonso, our local architect, for the building plans and getting all the necessary permits. |

Somos tres familias unidas por un sueño común: queremos que nuestros hijos crezcan en el corazón del rural asturiano, en estrecho contacto con su tradición y su naturaleza. Que puedan echar raíces en esta tierra, formar aquí su propia familia, y ser parte activa de la cultura y la comunidad que los acoge.
Creemos que la mejor manera de hacer realidad este sueño es construir juntos un entorno donde cada experiencia refuerce la conexión entre los saberes tradicionales y quienes heredarán su legado en el futuro.

We are three families united by a shared dream: we want our children to grow up in the heart of rural Asturias, deeply connected to its traditions and landscape. We want to enable them to make their lives here, raise their own families, and become part of the community that welcomes them.
We believe the best way to achieve this is by building together a space where every experience connects traditional knowledge with the children who will inherit it.

Artist, artisan, passionate about nature and childhood, with deep expertise in natural parenting. Her holistic vision brings meaning to every aspect of our space and program. Irene holds a degree in Fine Arts and is trained in both photography and violin. |  | YAREAH Soñadora y alegre, conecta de forma especial con la infancia porque trabaja desde la niña interior que le ha guiado siempre. Es capaz de crear momentos mágicos y llenos de significado. Yareah es graduada en Magisterio con postgrado en Pedagogía Verde con Heike Freire, y tiene amplia experiencia profesional con niños en granjas escuela y otros proyectos educativos. ❥ Imaginative and joyful, she connects naturally with children by drawing on the inner child that has always guided her. She has a talent for creating magical, meaningful moments. Yareah holds a degree in Education with postgraduate training in Green Pedagogy under Heike Freire, and brings extensive professional experience working with children in farm schools and educational projects. |  | BO Mujer de corazón salvaje, profundamente conectada con la energía femenina y la naturaleza. Javier is a musician, trained graphic designer, and PhD in Fine Arts with ten years of university teaching experience.
MER Y ALFONSO | Mer y Alfonso son los dos arquitectos que colaboran en la construcción de Raigame. Mer es especialista en bioconstrucción con muchos años de experiencia por toda España. Alfonso es un arquitecto establecido en la comarca y conoce al detalle la idiosincrasia y legislación locales. ❥ Mer and Alfonso are the two architects involved in the building of Raigame. Mer is a natural building specialist with many years of experience throughout Spain. Alfonso is an established architect in the area and knows all about the local legal environment.
SALOMÉ | Buscadora de los saberes ancestrales. Ha recorrido el mundo estudiando corrientes filosóficas y espirituales, y ha trabajado con grandes maestros del desarrollo espiritual y personal. Salomé acompaña a los niños a través del movimiento, el juego, el autoconocimiento y la conexión con la naturaleza. ❥ Seeker of ancestral wisdom. She has traveled the world studying philosophical and spiritual currents, and has worked with great masters of spiritual and personal development. Salomé guides children through movement, play, self-discovery, and connection with nature.
ROBERTO | Con un gran corazón lleno de buen humor, Robert
es un maestro constructor experto también en muchos otros
campos, entre ellos la ingeniería automovilística y el diseño
de interiores. Es licenciado en Diseño Interactivo, cinturón
negro de kung fu, y un orgulloso padre que asienta la energía
masculina en Raigame.
