Trailblazing again!

To all of you who supported my campaign last year, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Camp Casco held 3 amazing week-long camps last summer and because of your generosity more childhood cancer patients and their siblings were able to participate.

This year, I'll be hiking with Camp Casco on May 2nd and raising funds in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day on June 7th.

Please donate if you can! In order for camp to be free and accessible, fundraising is crucial. Times are hard for many, so know that small amounts are still very appreciated and go a long way!

• $10 donation could purchase lunch for a Day Camper
• $25 buys enough dye for the Blue Cabin to tie dye towels at Sibling Camp (a true favorite - they bring the towels back every year!)
• $50 buys enough bandaids for any scrapes and bruises the summer may bring
• $100 for blacklights to transform the dining hall into Lights Out Lunch at Oncology Camp
• $225 covers meals for one camper at Oncology Camp

Last year, I raised $2,650 - a week of meals for an entire cabin of campers! Can we beat that this year?

If you're not able to donate, please spread the word! All the counselors at Camp Casco are VOLUNTEERS! There's a 1:2 counselor to camper ratio, which allows for great support but requires many people.

My Camp Casco History

I have been a part of Camp Casco since 2018, when I volunteered for the first time at their overnight camp - a summer camp for cancer patients and survivors. In 2019, I helped with busing (Camp Casco provides transportation to Western MA for the camps because most families are located east, to make camp more financially & logistically accessible). In 2020, I participated in virtual camp, Camp @ Heart. After a few summers off between teacher training & surgeries, I finally returned to volunteering as a counselor in 2024, at overnight sibling camp - a summer camp for the siblings of pediatric cancer patients. In 2025, I volunteered at Day Camp - to complete my camp trifecta - and started with Hikes for Hope. This year will be my second year as a "Trail Blazer" with Hikes for Hope, and I will also be volunteering at Sibling Camp in August.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life changes overnight. Treatments can be long and isolating. Kids often miss school, sports, and time with friends.
