I teach second grade at Rock Creek Elementary school. Our school has 100 inquisitive 2nd graders who love reading nonfiction. We would like to have a good collection of kid friendly magazines for students to take home and keep.

I teach 2nd grade at Rock Creek Elementary in Beaverton Oregon.  I love my school and the team I work on.  One thing our students really love is reading nonfiction books about the world- and we have a good selection of them.  What we don't have is access to current, high quality, magazines- especially ones that kids can take home and KEEP.  It would be so powerful for kids to have a resource they could use at school and then continue to use and share at home!

Time for kids is the magazine we are wanting to purchase for each of our students.  It covers current events, social studies, science and other topics using grade level text- and at $4.95 per student it is a good value.  Please help us fund our idea and get this valuable resource into the hands of students!
