Mrs. Courogen and Mr. Lewis are teaming up once again to try and raise funds to purchase a set of 12 Gigglebots for each of our two classrooms.  Last year, we teamed up and through your generosity, we were able to fund class sets of Micro:bits.  We are hoping to receive your support again this year!

This year, we want to take our coding and programming to the next level by allowing students to use the Micro:bit to program an awesome robot, called a Gigglebot.  This project will serve a third grade classroom (Courogen) and a fifth grade classroom (Lewis) and will also serve students for many years to come.  Gigglebots have many applications including learning about advanced coding language, problem solving and mathematical applications such as geometry.

We believe that coding is an essential twenty-first century skill and we want kids to learn how to apply these skills to a project that showcases their creativity and problem solving skills. 

We plan on presenting student projects at the Beaverton School District Innovation Expo (iX19) and showcase the power of the Gigglebot!
