Community Care Durham realizes this is a challenging time for our community. We have an obligation to serve our community and help them safely get through this unprecedented time. For this reason, we have postponed the Walk. We will communicate the revised date when more information is available. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these difficult and uncertain times.

Participants can walk or run 1, 2 or 5 km from the Fairgrounds to the scenic Port Perry Waterfront Trail, and then return for a complimentary lunch. The Walk is a significant family-friendly event that challenges our communities to talk about mental health in an effort to eradicate stigma. Our Walk not only serves as a fundraiser but also raises awareness of mental illness in the community and supports those who are living with mental health issues.

Community Care Durham (CCD) is a multi-service, charitable organization supporting over 12,000 Durham Region residents who have needs related to aging, physical and/or mental health. For over 42 years we have been helping our clients remain in their own homes with appropriate supports, helping to enrich their well-being and quality of life with independence and dignity.

Our services include Mental Health Programs, Meals on Wheels, Assisted Living, Transportation, Adult Day Programs, In-Home Respite, and much more. We have offices located in every municipality in Durham Region. Proceeds from the Walk go to support our clients across Durham Region.
