Life-changing training for one community leader, with the potential to train 1,000 others

Thrive for Good is a worldwide not-for-profit based in Canada and operating out of Kenya that provides organic agricultural training and development programs to people in 4 continents of the world. We train communities to grow high nutrient, disease-fighting foods, and herbs all year round, with scarce rainfall, utilizing small land plots available to community members. When groups reach food and health security, excess food is used for income generation.

Over the next 60 days, we are inviting individuals and organizations to apply for a free scholarship to access our training. Containing over 40 courses, 90 lessons, and 18 demonstration videos, this membership will empower and equip students with the training needed to start “Life Gardens” and grow nutritious, disease-fighting foods.

We need your help to raise enough money to fund scholarships for organizations like schools, orphanages, clinics, churches and even prisons, who don't have the resources to access this life-changing training. 

The world is closing in on a ‘food crisis,’ and our training is needed now more than ever. The UN estimates that the COVID pandemic will add an additional 132 million people to the total number (700 million) of undernourished and hungry in the world. The Thrive Institute

With an online platform that optimizes the learning experience through video, instructed course teachings, and online resources, students are able to advance their ‘growing’ skills any time, anywhere and on any device that is connected to the internet.

As part of the Thrive Institute, we are in the process of building a ‘Community Knowledge Hub’ which is an online portal that allows for cross-sharing, connection, access to further resources and above all, a community of like-minded world changers that support each other with their journey and lessons.

Over the past month, since we launched, we have had 60 users start their learning journey to grow their own healthy, nutritious, disease-fighting foods. Students have joined from all over the world including Liberia, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Philippines, Guatemala, India, Kyrgyzstan and more.

Our capacity is far greater, and the opportunity of having online training is endless. We are targeting to train 10,000 students in the next 12 months.

Thrive Institute Scholarships

Our passion is to make our training available to EVERYONE. No price can be set on 10+ years of experience, research and best practices. Over 1 million hours of learning, gardening, research, etc has gone into the ultimate design and development of the courses at the Thrive Institute.

Scholarships are available for students that want to join the Thrive Institute and need support.

The scholarship process ensures that applicants have ‘skin in the game’ as the training still comes at a cost but they can receive discounted prices for ‘performance’ and engagement. This reflects our belief and ethos that an item has value, only when it was paid for and not given away.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, we have awarded 15 scholarships to students in need. Every week we receive new applications and need your help to support their learning.

Partner Organizations

The quickest and most effective strategy to expand our reach will be done by working with partners already engaged in asset-based community development work. Partners are the doorway to hundreds of thousands of communities in the developing world that are in need.

Now that our training platform is launched, we need to get the word out to as many organizations and individuals as possible. If you are connected with a charity or not-for-profit that has a distribution network of partners ‘in the field’ or that is directly involved in project work, please send them an email directing them to our Thrive Institute website. We are looking to partner with all charities and will do our part, ensuring that the training is available to everyone by offering scholarships.

Throughout the partnership, we resource, support, measure the impact and continuously train the new Champion.
