Like many places around the world, South Sudan is taking measures to control the spread of COVID-19 across the country by closing down businesses, borders, and schools among other things. As the pandemic has continued, businesses have begun to reopen, but it is unclear when schools will open again. In the mean time, the children and youth at CCC need to keep up with their schooling, and require the aid of trained teachers to teach them English, Math and Science.

Help Confident Children out of Conflict continue to support the children and youth in their care amidst the instability and heightened challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in a tangible way- will you help us raise the funds to hire three teachers to support the continued learning of students at CCC while schools remain closed?

About Impact South Sudan-CCC

Impact South Sudan focuses on refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have witnessed incredible violence, fled their homes, and suffered immensely. Our goal is to bring sustainable development through education and programs for children at risk.

Confident Children Out of Conflict (CCC)

The CCC is a South Sudanese NGO founded in 2007 to respond to the needs of vulnerable street children in Juba, mainly girls and young women that are victims of or at-risk for Gender-Based Violence.

The vision of CCC is to provide vulnerable children with a safe space to sleep, eat, learn and play so they can develop into young adults who have fulfilled their potential. CCC also works to support households as they develop a protective environment for safe reintegration of these children into their communities.

CCC has four main objectives:

  • House orphans and at-risk children in a clean, joyful residential centre
  • Educate children through school scholarships and extracurricular programs
  • Reunify children with families when it is safe to do so
  • Facilitate discussions and training on gender-based violence, HIV, healthy living, vocational skills, and small business development
