CAMP CASCO HAS BEEN A LIFELINE FOR MY SON — AND WE’RE HIKING TO HELP MORE KIDS EXPERIENCE IT. 

Childhood cancer changes everything. Treatments, hospital routines, and the emotional weight can take over a family’s life. For kids, it can feel like childhood gets put on hold.

For my son, Camp Casco has been the place that gives a piece of that childhood back. He’s been a camper for many years, and every summer at Camp Casco has become an important part of his journey — a week where he can laugh, explore, build friendships, and feel like himself again. The confidence and joy he brings home each year are hard to put into words.

Why We’re Hiking

This year, a group of Scituate friends and family are coming together to hike local trails over the next couple of months. Our goal is simple: raise money so more kids with cancer can experience Camp Casco at no cost to their families.

The Need

Camp Casco provides free, medically supported camp experiences. But each camper’s week — lodging, meals, medical care, activities, and year‑round support — costs real money. The need is growing, and there’s a funding gap we’re stepping up to help close.

Our goal: raise as much as we can to help send more kids to camp this summer.

How Your Donation Helps

Your contribution directly supports moments that matter:

• $25 provides art supplies, games, and activities

• $50 helps cover healthy meals and snacks

• $100 supports medical staffing and safety resources

• $250 funds a full day of camp for one child

• $500+ helps sponsor an entire camper’s week
