Doxie Rescue of Bucks County & NJ hasn't added a story.
Meet Addie. This beautiful little wheaten wire haired girl has been afflicted with IVDD [Intervertebral Disc Disease], every doxie owners worst nightmare. We received a call asking for our help from the Pittsburgh area and learned she still had deep pain sensation. The clock was ticking and with the help of Pilots for Paws she was on her way to us for lifesaving treatment. Sadly, we were outside of the surgical window for this little girl, but the battle just takes a different turn as we work to give Addie a great quality of life.
Adding the love this frightened little one needs is easy. Getting her on a balanced diet is simple. Addressing the physical damage and correcting it is the challenge. Addie has 2 critical potential disc ruptures along her spinal column. She quivers and pants from pain and anxiety; this needs to be full evaluated. Today we can give her something wonderful….a quality of life. It all begins with outstanding medical care and that all begins with your support.
What do we do now? Clearly we are out of the 72-hour surgery time frame, but not all hope is lost here. Alternate therapies including laser therapy and acupuncture working in conjunction with our prescribed medical protocol give us hope. Just remember, nothing is free to the rescue and leaves its mark and its cost. Without support from kindhearted people like you Addie stands no chance of recovery, never mind have a quality or live a pain free life. Please consider her and make a difference today.
This is a very special case and we know the DRBC Gang can make a difference for this little one. It is going to take a village so tell your friends, share the story and let’s raise as much as we can! Addie really needs you and we are begging you...make that difference now!
Remember, generous support is desperately needed and greatly appreciated. Like many non-profit organizations DRBC is a 501[c][3] operated solely by volunteers. We have been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, re-homing and educating families about this breed for over 40 years. We welcome and need your benevolent tax-deductible donation. Please, help us to help them.
We welcome you to stay tuned for updates. Until then, Addie, all the rescue doxies and the DRBC Team thank you.
