Cindee was rescued from the county shelter where she had been waiting for a home two weeks and getting passed over because she is a bit older. Her age is estimated at 8-10. One of our amazing fosters offered to take her in and so we went to get Cindee, thinking she was healthy. However, we quickly realized that she was sick with an upper respiratory infection and needed to be seen right away by our vet! So we revised the plan and got her right in to be examined.
The wonderful Dr Rooney diagnosed her quickly with pneumonia after exam and xrays, and she is being aggressively treated for that now in hospitalization. The treatment and care needed is very costly, and so we are hoping our amazing supporters can help us help Cindee through this! It is treatable, but thankfully, if treated aggressively.
Eventually Cindee will also need a dental cleaning, so whatever funds we raise that may end up going above her hospitalization charges can go to her dental fund!
She is the sweetest little thing, just wants to be held in your lap and petted! While we are a bit stressed out with the unexpected costs, we are SO glad that we got her out when we did so this could be treated right away, as otherwise she may have declined in the shelter.
