Membership has almost doubled since last season, making our Club more competitive while also bringing about a new set of financial challenges. All donations will go towards hotel/travel expenses, the construction of a batting cage, and field maintenance.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Baseball Club consists of over 30 graduate and undergraduate students interested in continuing to play competitive baseball at the collegiate level. The team competes in the Men's Atlanta Baseball League during the Fall semester to prepare for the Spring season. In the Spring, the team participates in the National Club Baseball Association which consists of over 100 different college club baseball teams. The Club plays about 24 games in the Spring against regional rivals such as UGA, Clemson, and Vanderbilt. The highlight of the season for most players involves travelling to other colleges in the Southeast to play 3 game sets.

Club membership has almost doubled since last year, making the Club more competitive while also bringing about a new set of financial challenges. The organization is funded by the Georgia Tech Student Government Association (SGA) and Member Dues. However, the SGA cannot fund certain expenses, such as hotels, and dues are kept low to encourage participation.

The team does not have access to an on-campus field or batting cage. Within the coming year, the Club hopes to purchase and install a batting cage on campus for player use. Additionally, the team’s home field is in poor condition and is almost unplayable. With additional funds, we hope to find a nicer home field or, at least, better maintain our current home field. Lack of access to a proper home field and batting cage hurts the Club competitively. Additional funds will allow us to expand the facilities available to us and be a more competitive team. Lastly, due to a sharp increase in membership, finances originally intended for transportation and hotel expenses will no longer cover the total cost of travel. All donations will go towards travel expenses, the construction of a batting cage, and field improvements.
