URGENT HELP IS NEEDED!

We learned of this family from the Stake President, Carlos Gardner and his councilor, Orlando Toribio. We met the family on June 15 at the church where they were invited to come and request our help.  

Wilson and Magdelina and their 5 children lost the home they were living in and most of their belongings in a devastating flood in May 2025. 

The home where the family was living was completely destroyed.  It was locked when we visited but we took a photo through the slats. 

Almost all the homes in the area are just awful. 

A  retaining wall was built around the "channel" to protect property.  When it flooded in May, the water covered the wall and was up to the roof of the homes leaving in it's wake total devastation.  The channel is now littered with clothing, household items, furniture, rotten beds and more.

A neighbor allowed the family to use a little shack with only 3 walls (the fourth being a stone wall used for retaining).  There are 7 people living in one room with one bed. 

The only nice item that they have is a stove that was donated to them from the church.  

The family needs immediate help.  We started building this home for another family.  If we can raise the funds for Wilson and Magdelina and their family, they will skip the queue because their situation is the most desperate.
