Donate through the months of August and September, 2024 towards our WAXON MONTHS OF CHANGE Campaign as we raise money for One Girl Can's university scholarship program.
Each WAXON location is raising money to sponsor one deserving student to cover their costs for one year's tuition, living expenses, internships and other essentials, through the One Girl Can scholarship program. Our York Mills location is thrilled to be sponsoring Stacy on her education journey. She is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Nairobi.
Stacy and her two brothers were raised by their mother after their parents broke up when Stacy was a child. Her mother has always worked hard to provide for the family, doing laundry and taking care of other children, while always providing love and encouragement to her own. Stacy is motivated to get good grades in order to pursue a career in medicine and change her family’s lifestyle. “My family’s situation is what keeps me motivated to study smart. My mission is to get the best grades so I can give my family the best life. I have seen suffering due to unemployment, but thanks to One Girl Can, I have been able to continue my education so I can help not only my family but also other girls like me.”
