Donate through the months of August and September, 2024 towards our WAXON MONTH OF CHANGE Campaign as we raise money for One Girl Can's university scholarship program.
Each WAXON location is raising money to sponsor one deserving student to cover their costs for one year's tuition, living expenses, internships and other essentials, through the One Girl Can scholarship program. Our London West location is thrilled to be sponsoring Regina on her education journey. She is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Jomo Kenyatta University.
Regina is 19 years old. She and her three siblings were raised by a single mother, who has always worked hard as a cook to cater for her needs and encouraged her to work hard for her education. She was often teased as a child for having an absent father and being poor, however her mom has been her biggest motivator and given her hope. Since starting school, she has consistently been top three in her class academically, and dreams of being an engineer so that she can formulate a way for people living in dry, arid areas to irrigate their land and produce crops to help eliminate hunger. “I would like to fight hunger in dry areas as I have severely skipped meals and I know how it feels”.

All money raised will go towards supporting young women in Kenya and will cover their costs for one year's tuition, living expenses, internships, and other essentials. This life-changing program provides the much needed support these young women need so they can pursue their career aspirations and move one step closer to realizing their dreams.
