Introduction
About “Walk the Wall”
“Walk the Wall” is an annual global fundraising event for International China Concern.
We hold this event in November each year, and we are committed to bringing together participants from all over the world to help children and families with special needs in China.
International China Concern Limited (ICC) is founded by David Gotts since 1993. Through the work of ICC, individuals are transformed through the provision of services that take each person on a journey towards realizing their full potential.
Walk the Wall - Walk on your Own 2
Due to the social movement, Walk the Wall – Walk On Your Own was held by ICCHK for the first time in 2019. This year with the pandemic, Walk the Wall- Walk On Your Own 2 will be launched by ICCHK for 2nd straight year. The date begins from 14th November 2020 to 28th November 2020. During these two weeks, you will be able to choose distance, location, date, and time. We provide two registration methods, one of which is an app you can download if you choose to record your time and the steps you’ve walked. Our fundraising goal this year is HKD$ 400,000. With the money you raise, our aim is to raise funds for building a playground, renovating a swimming pool, purchasing wheelchairs and the salary of the caregivers, as well as general overall program needs.

2 Ways to register:
1. We provide offline application and donation form for our participants to fill out. When you filled out the form, please email/scan back to us and we will record your registration on our system.
You may donate online using a credit card or debit card. You can also donate through cash, cheque, or bank transfer. Or post a cheque to our company address: ICC Hong Kong, Room 1208, Tung Che Commercial 246 Des Voeux Road West, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong or GPO Box3157 (payable to International China Concern Hong Kong Limited and states “Walk the Wall- walk on your own” at the back.)

Tips to Build Your Fundraising Success
To ensure our online donation amount is the most updated, please state your name or group, when you would like to place your donation.
When the donation is approved, it will be shown in your total fundraising amount.
If you would like to collect offline donation, please fill out the “Offline donation form” and send the form to us to the address that is shown on the form.
2. You can also choose to participate in our activities online. ICC has developed its own "Walkthe Wall" application for the first time to use for this walk. Participants only need to download the exclusive mobile app of "Walkthe Wall", and you also need to open an account on the Fundrazr page. Through a series of virtual and multimedia experiences during your walk, you will experience walking through virtual watchtower with kilometer indicator just as if you’re walking the Great Wall of China. You can share videos and photos to your team as well as other walkers, enabling other participants to have a deeper understanding of the work of ICC and better understand how their every step changes children’s lives.
In the Fundrazr’s team page, you can setup your fundraising amount and choose the type of giving such wheelchairs, park renovation, swimming pool renovation, and carers’ salaries. If you have any questions about setting up your team’s page and team goal, please contact our team. Our team (ICCHK) will work together with you as you organize your team of walkers.
We encourage you and your team to use the photo sharing function on the Walk the Wall app, which is convenient for participants to upload to the Internet, like and share through social media, so that you have more fun during the virtual Great Wall tour of China!

We provide the following items for you to choose as your team’s goal:
- Wheelchairs $50,000
The beneficiaries of the wheelchairs are the children in our Heng Yang care center. The wheelchairs will improve their healthy development. In the Heng Yang care center, our therapist approves the design of the wheelchair.
Firstly, every wheelchair is very complex. All the functions are designed for the needs of the children. ICC therapist approves the design tailored made for the needs of the children.
- Playground refurbishment $20,000
Our playground is one of the most significant facilities in our center, which mostly utilize for outdoor activities, simple therapies, and the provision of open space.
- Swimming pool renovation $2000
The swimming pool is utilized for hydrotherapy and it means a great deal to the children and young adults as they are able to undergo treatments.
The renovation of the swimming pool is significant to the children, especially for those who suffer from cerebral palsy, a physical condition involving the tightening of the muscles that are caused by the damage to the brain. It is a place which provides her with treatment, hope, and a sense of belonging.
Through your donation, we are able to use the current facilities and provide them a pleasant learning ground and healthy environment for their development.

Not only does our caregiver continuing taking care of the young adults and children in ICC, they also enhancing their self –care ability. Our caregivers also teach our young adult for their home works and assist them to go on their therapies and exercises.

Our playground is one of the important facility in our center, usually for children's outdoor activities, simple therapies and relax. Pagoda has reached the end of it’s life. It has provided 4 years of faithful service against the extremes of Hunan’s winter cold summer heat and fairly unrelenting humidity. Its roof and legs need to retire before they collapse Having a pagoda in Hengyangs playground provides such a valuable place for our children and young people to gather, chat and enjoy relaxed outdoor time together. A space to develop all important relationships that nurture healthy emotional development. We would love to replace the rotten structure with a new one. The cost including installation is around 15 000 before retention from National offices and the Hunan charity federation. Wheelchair Repair Fund 輪椅維修基金 We are in need of 2000 RMB for funding of small parts for the repairs of existing wheelchairs within the projects. These include specialist clips, belts, chest straps and ankle supports. These items are essential to repair and modify the children’s chairs due to both growth and daily wear and tear. 我們需要2000元人民幣的資金，用於現有輪椅的維修。 其中包括專業夾子，皮帶，胸帶和腳踝支撐。 這些物品對於兒童座椅的成長和日常磨損均是不可或缺的。
Yu Chen 雨晨 - 14 years old (Girl) FPP 家・友同行 | Changsha 長沙 Chen is a 14 year girl supported by our Family Partners program in Changsha. Her family will be greatly helped in caring for Chens needs by providing a specialist chair for her to use at home and around the city. The chair will come with adaptations for her bodies specific needs. 14歲的小女孩雨晨正受助於在長沙市的「家·友同行」計劃。 她的家庭十分需要一輛特製的輪椅，方便在家及外出時照顧雨晨。該輪椅將按雨辰身體上的特殊需要作特別改造。 The Ormesa clip costs 8000 RMB 型號：Ormesa Clip 費用：人民幣8000元
Li An Ni 李安妮 - 12 years old (Girl) FPP 家・友同行 | Changsha 長沙 AnNi is a 12 year girl supported by our Family Partners program in Changsha. She has Cerebral Palsy and can walk very short distances, but is not stable on her feet, when she leaves the house she needs a chair. Her family will be greatly helped in caring for her needs by providing a light weight chair for her to use, as her mother has a heart defect that makes her tire easily. 12歲的安妮正受助於在長沙市的「家·友同行」計劃。 安妮有腦癇，不能穩步行走，而且只能走短短幾步，外出時需要依靠輪椅。安妮的媽媽有心臟問題，容易疲倦，因此一輛輕便版輪椅，將會給他們家帶來莫大的幫助。 The Ormesa clip costs 11,000 RMB, the company has none in stock and will need to ship in new ones. 型號：Ormesa clip 費用：11,000元人民幣。

He is unable to walk and a specialist chair is vital from both his comfort each day, and to protect his posture into the future.
