The pandemic has made this a difficult decision for families like Jennifer. Jennifer came to us too embarrassed to share that she needed food. Once we discovered what she needed, we made sure she was on our list of emergency grocery hamper deliveries.
Jennifer isn't alone. There are over hundreds more families on our waiting list and growing.

Family reunions should be sweet. When a family is referred to us because they are being reunited after being apart, it's a cause to celebrate. And often, it's because they have graduated to a point where they don't need as much assistance. Although this may be the case, there can be a lot to juggle while looking for the right employment, childcare, and beyond. The hidden expenses can put a strain on a recovering family. To ease stress, we start by asking, what do you need? Then we build a Recovery Support Plan with the items in need. Help build up families in our care for success.
Because we deliver, your donation helps fuel this program by putting gas in our delivery vehicle to cover one tank full. This helps us in our delivery service for this program. Because we meet needs where they are at, COVID-19 has created a crisis that needs your urgent support. Families that are mobility or immunocompromised cannot access traditional food bank set ups or trust them. We find out what their need is and we collect foods in excess from Foodmesh.ca, assemble and deliver to their front door adhering to COVID-19 protective protocols.
Sanitary items and diapers make up some of our Emergency Hamper Delivery orders because of newborns and small children within the households. Help us make this wish come true. Alternatively, if you have a surplus of diapers that can be donated, we are always looking to find them a good home. info@ugts.ca

We want to give individuals who care give a night out to rest and relax stress free! COVID-19 has compromised many of our regular programs and put undo strains for families in need. Your donation covers a meal out for up to two caregiver(s) at a restaurant in the community and specialized care following COVID-19 protocols for care of their child or children in need while they are out. The night out would last 3 hours.
