14 yo old Tyler Toth of Montgomery, Al was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, bone cancer, in June 2018. The 9 cm tumor located on her sacrum, an area at end of the spinal column between the hip bones, was discovered upon an evaluation for hip pain.

A 10 week round of chemotherapy began July 16th at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham in the hopes of shrinking the tumor before attempting surgical removal. The surgery will be extensive and involve major reconstruction of her pelvis and spine. 16 more weeks of chemotherapy will follow the surgery.

The road to recovery will be long, hard, and expensive. While the family is fortunate to have health insurance, they are of meager means. The known expenses involving travel between Montgomery and Birmingham weekly, lodging, food, co-pays, and medications are beyond what little savings they have.

Tyler’s single mom, Christy, is the girl’s head gymnastics coach at Armory Athletics in Montgomery.

Please donate whatever you can to help! They cannot do this alone!

Thank you.
