¡Hola!

Hi! We are a group that works for the community and the environment in the Natural Reserve Cañón de San Cristóbal in the Llanos de Aibonito neighborhood. From our agroecological farm, we support various sectors and communities by providing accessibility to fresh food, facilities, and resources in times of emergency. We are a team of four people: three Puerto Rican farmers and an administrator.
Since 2018, Trama + Tres Vidas have provided a variety of services, focused on increasing accessibility to high nutritional density food to marginalized communities while producing and educating about raw materials, art, and culture.
Our projects
Tres Vidas is an ecosystem of agroecological farms committed to increasing the accessibility of agroecological products to historically marginalized communities. Through our food donation program, we purchase agroecological crops from small-scale producers in the municipalities of Arroyo, Cayey, Guayama, Orocovis, Patillas and Salinas. With this dynamic we are able to reduce the food insecurity of vulnerable populations in the rural area of Puerto Rico.
Additionally, we have an educational agroecological farm with the mission of empowering the community to connect with their food and the land that produces it. We welcome individuals and groups for tours, volunteering and workshops on the farm and work with community schools to develop agroecological projects.

Trama is a collective focused on researching sustainable textile production and facilitating access to crops of raw materials that are of great importance for the artisan culture in Puerto Rico. We develop yarn with local fiber while conducting research and educational workshops on our farm located in Bo. Llanos, Aibonito. We are a highly knowledgeable team in agroecology and cultural history of Puerto Rico and a network of young people, artists, and artisans who collaborate in the research and production of natural dyes and textiles.
We want to share our knowledge so that more people get involved in reducing the impact that the textile industry has on the world:
- We believe that textile culture is important in human evolution and should be a part of our basic education.
- Sustainable textile production practices make more efficient use of the resources of the island's agricultural industry.
- Restarting textile knowledge in Puerto Rico will impact the agroecological sector by providing knowledge to future generations.
