The Farmers Land Trust is protecting farmland, giving access to it to farmers, and helping others to do the same through the creative and innovative Farmland Commons. This model holds farmland in perpetuity for regenerative agriculture and gives next generation farmers long-term, secure, affordable, and equitable lease tenure to that farmland. 

We are working directly with:

1. Aging, retiring farmers and other landowners to navigate the process of preserving their farmland and transitioning it to the next generation of stewards.
   
   
2. Black and Brown growers and collectives to acquire and access land for food sovereignty, connection to land, and community wealth.
   
   
3. Nonprofits who also want to address farmland loss and also want to address the number one barrier for young and socially disadvantaged farmers; unjust farmland ownership, access and tenure, and equity.
