Hi, I am a digital media teacher passionate about creating a classroom that replicates the experience of working in the design industry, including using industry grade equipment. We want our students to exit with skills & prepared for a future they choose

I am a digital media teacher at Beaverton High. I currently am helping students to learn specific skills for high wage, high demand positions which includes using industry level equipment. Our goal at Beaverton High School is to ensure that all students leave prepared for, confident in, and excited about any future they choose. This includes positions in the digital media field. We work with businesses in the community and all over Oregon to create content like videos, marketing materials, and photographs. My goal is to gather industry level video equipment for more students to make content for the community in a real-world setting.

For example, our students made a commercial for Eola Winery in Oregon

Currently, we only have enough equipment (video cameras and microphones) for 7 students to create content and my mission is to allow more students to have this opportunity in any given class period. We are hoping to raise enough money to buy 3 more cameras and 5 microphones.

Please contribute to helping our students gain the skills necessary for this career field!

Thank you,

Casi Yost
