Youth development program designed to teach life skills and character through sport to urban youth to combat gang affiliations, destructive behaviors, and academic failures by offering positive, life-changing alternatives and mentoring.

A program is desperately needed that will not only attract our most challenging youth, but effectively engage them in what they like to do while teaching life skills and instilling values necessary for coping with internal/external challenges and thriving in difficult circumstances. The Redemptive Call is a nonprofit sport-based youth development program designed to do just that. Created in response to the growing number of youth falling through the cracks in school or already entangled in destructive behaviors, the program is located in Brownsville, Brooklyn - a poverty-stricken neighborhood in NYC with the most housing projects concentrated in a single neighborhood which makes it a high crime area.

In late spring we're kicking it off by taking it to the streets - right in the middle of the projects where some of our most challenging youth are. We CAN change the landscape of our communities. No other program in the hood uses the methods we're bringing to impact these lives. With success, the hope is to expand it to other neighborhoods and teach other programs how to more effectively leverage sport for greater impact. You can find out more by visiting the website

                                  BUT.... WE NEED YOUR HELP!

In addition, the program strives to give urban youth experiences that will expand their thinking and help them explore their possible future with mentorship.

Donations are needed to offer youth fun programs that will help them overcome personal and systemic challenges to personal development and achievement.

Funds will be used to purchase sports equipment and to continue our programming efforts throughout the year. Many other sports-related programs last only a few weeks, leaving youth to themselves and without support.

Location where we will begin programming in the spring

The local community center (short building located next to the basketball court) has made the facility available after 6pm. Perfect time to get the local teens engaged in constructive activities

Please consider helping with any amount.  The Redemptive Call is 501(c)(3) tax exempt, therefore, charitable contributions are tax deductable.

We will keep our supporters up-to-date with campaigns and all our programming events so you know how your donations are being used.
